Claude Monet's house, Giverny

I've wanted to do this for a long time: take our son to Giverny ! Head to the Impressionist Museum and the gardens of Claude Monet's House... Spoiler alert: unsurprisingly, it was magical !

I imagine that all the seasons are beautiful in Giverny but if I may offer one piece of advice don't miss the summer: the colors are splendid there! Leaving the station, we took a small train to the small bucolic village of Giverny where the famous Museum of the Impressionists is located... A very nice place but not very big. Let's say that with a little man walking at a run the visit is very quick. We nevertheless loved the artists presented (Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Paul Goguin ... all my childhood) and the themes covered: childhood, summer vacation, the beach, the garden , ...

Once we visited the museum we headed for the Gardens of Claude Monet's House... Passionate about gardens, I think I had the chance to see a lot of places amazing but this one really is exceptional. The beauty of the landscapes did not escape our 5-year-old boy. The poetry that emanates from the place is real, the garden is huge and the flowers are grouped by color... It's like admiring paintings...

After all this travel and all this walking, we went to have a pancake in the garden of the neighboring house, which is also superb. Bby was too tired to visit the House and there was still the return train to do. Morality we will have to come back! ;) If we had to do it again, we might have started there rather than going to the Museum... In any case it was fantastic and we can't wait to read your feedback if you go there this summer ! See you soon,
